I'm a Converse II student at Converse University. I started my journey at Converse back in 2014 as a freshman fresh out of high school. In my decade break from Converse, I got married, started afamily, bought a house, got a divorce, and went in and out of school to end up where I started.
This blog is dedicated to MUH 332.01: Music of Diverse Cultures for Spring 2025.
I am excited to learn the many connections that Western African Music has to modern day Black American music and the other strong ties to the African diaspora across the world. I truly hope to get a deeper connection to myself and collective Black American history.
In this class I have seen and understood, thus far, that participation, questioning, and discovery are extremely important to the success of this class. I am excited to learn more.
